Background music is an excellent tool for encouraging linger time in your store! Our licensed music mix includes full clearance and payment of public performance rights. If you currently use the radio, you may be advertising for your competitor in your own store! DPI provides a tried and tested music mix developed specifically with Timber-Mart customers in mind. We can even create your own music blend by adjusting percentages of several music styles. As new songs hit the charts, they are added to the mix. You can even make an “un-request” if you would like a specific song removed from the playlist. You can’t do that with the radio.

MUSIC TARIFFS
Agencies such as SOCAN and Re:Sound represent the Canadian composer and artist community . Musical works are protected by copyright law and are subject to music tariffs. Using MP3 players, radio, or satellite radio without paying the public performance tariff is not legal. According to the rate calculators at socan.ca and resound.ca, a 5,000 square foot store is subject to up to $1000/year in tariffs, and that doesn’t include a custom music program.
